  • For Peninsula Modern, tile is a design language in its own right. From handcrafted ceramics to natural stone, tile protects the surfaces we use most while introducing texture, color, and personality throughout the home. We specialize in sourcing tile from around the world, from local favorite Heath Ceramics, to color-saturated cement and Calacatta marble from Italy. To add further visual intrigue, we work with you to identify distinctive compositions and patterns, none too intricate for our expert tile setters.

  • Peninsula Modern is known for its spa-like bathroom design, driven by a belief that these rooms should offer a serene respite at any size. Enduring hardscapes and custom-built cabinetry make a statement of quality and sophistication no matter how subtle their effect. We source tile from around the world, from local favorite Heath Ceramics to large-format porcelain from Italy, to create seamless patterns and textural backdrops.

    Beautiful bathrooms begin long before the finishes are installed. For every remodel, we start with the structure beneath the surface, ensuring walls and floors are properly prepared and waterproofing is meticulously executed. Walk-in showers are built using proven waterproofing systems, carefully sloped drainage, and rigorous sealing and testing to protect the home for years to come. In the years we’ve been designing and renovating bathrooms, we've never received a call to repair one of our installations. We have, however, been invited back to remodel kitchens, living spaces, and entire homes—a testament to the lasting relationships we build with our clients.

  • Landscape design is an extension of the home itself. Peninsula Modern considers sun exposure, microclimates, layout and flow, privacy, and water-wise planting to create outdoor spaces that are as inviting and functional as the interiors. We use native and climate-appropriate species for landscapes that will mature gracefully while strengthening the home's connection to its natural surroundings.

  • Lighting selection, as with furniture, can be a very personal endeavor. We act as guides and sounding boards to help clients realize their preferences in tangible terms, taking into account light quality, style, construction, materials, budget. and timelines to find the best options for each space — indoor and out — and as a total composition.
